THE FESTIVE SEASON IS UPON US

Not so long ago we were in the snow and then rather quickly through the spring – even though the spring seemed to retain some qualities of winter with a snow fall early in October. And now summer is upon us!

Our Commonwealth games GC2018 marathon track souvenir in the snow during the first week of August at Motebong Lodge.

Once more the early August snowfall did not disappoint! Though there were some unfortunate instances with some guests unable to travel up Mafika Lisiu pass for a day or so due to heavy snow. However, those that made it before the closure or used an alternative routes enjoyed beautiful views and an opportunity to play in the snow.by people being offering some spectacular views. We have many boats for fishing on the dam and all enjoyed their fishing trip.

A view of Ha Lejone village from Selikane Pass. The drive up to this point was tricky and not passable beyond the pass for a good two days.

The Business of the day still had to be done and the horse remained a reliable mode of travel!

Some hikers this spring, with Katse dam and Motebong Lodge in background. The dam levels are steadily improving following the drought.

And the traditional dancers came and were part of the spring fun.

We had an eventful spring, including the executive team of the Lesotho Revenue Authority (LRA) lead by the Commissioner General paying us a visit for their strategy session in early October.

We are now looking forward to welcoming the SArowing team for their November camp, as they continue with their preparations for Tokyo 2020.

We have also hosted SA Rally champ Victor Ntsekhe his high altitude training, a required preparation for participation the 2019 Paris to Dakar rally where he will be with his partner John Telford.

Once more, the summer promises to be fantastic for outdoor activities – horse riding, mountain biking, hiking and off course to enjoy Katse dam on our door step.

Crossing a stream during a hike!

As usual our year end party with a fireworks display will be simply enjoyable!
