As spring sets-in, we are treated to a variety of colours and pleasant smells as trees flower. Motebong is particularly proud of its peach trees which are usually the first clear sign that the seasons are changing from winter to spring and then summer. More importantly however, these flowering trees remind of the fruit feast that lies ahead in late January, February and into early March.
The beauty of the flowers also reminds us that the highlands are ready to be explored in various ways, as the weather and temperatures becomes more agreeable for outside activities.
The countryside is also acquiring new colours.
The weather now makes it easier for children to enjoy the jungle-gym and other outdoor activities.
Horse riding remains an exciting experience, especially with the injection of tricks by the Ha Lejone horsemen!
A sumptuous X-Mas lunch is special.
The area offers various hiking route options.
The New Year’s eve fireworks display is one of the highlights of the festive holidays.
The new year’s eve Braai is always special.
Then there is a Katse dam boat ride and bikers taking a welcome break below.
And fishing in the dam and in the streams around Motebong can be rewarding.
