Motebong Lodge / Katse Dam / Lesotho

We operate a full restaurant service with a wide variety of meals catering for different tastes as well as a full bar with a good range of wines, whisky’s brandies and other spirits. For a complete culinary experience, we also offer some local dishes

We grow and serve fresh vegetables in season and frozen (without preservatives) off season. We do not use fertilizers or any chemicals in our garden. We use compost and manure from our horses where nourishment is required, and the flower marigold in place of chemical pesticides as a very effective and environment friendly insect repellent. We are very successful in our gardening method and we produce tasty vegetables

We also prepare food packs for visitors staying at Motebong, who may be travelling past or who may be working in the surrounding area and tend to have their midday meals away from the lodge.

Self Catering Accommodation

Katse Dam - Lesotho

Accommodation at the mountain lodge is made up of fully-furnished and fully-equipped self catering cottages of varying sizes and accommodating a varying number of people. These cottages are heated with coal or electric and gas stoves, which is critical during the winter months. They are cleaned daily by our housekeeping staff with the exception of a couple of days when the staff is also given time off

About Motebong Lodge

Katse Dam - Lesotho

Motebong has committed itself to recruiting from Ha Lejone and will continue to do so where the skills and experience is there. With the exception of the Chef, all our staff are from Ha Lejone and surrounds, and have been given the necessary training for the roles they occupy at Motebong. This is a practice that Motebong will continue to pursue for as long as is possible into the future.
